In accordance with the Freedom of Information & Protection of Privacy Act of Alberta (FOIP) our office may collect appropriate and sufficient information on all applicants we serve. This Privacy Policy explains our privacy practices for customer information we physically collect at A – Plus Registry Services Ltd, Alberta, and Canada. and through our website, www.aplusregistry.ca.

We only collect such personal information as is strictly necessary for the purposes outlined in Section 2. We collect information when you place orders or request services. This information is not linked by us to personal information. This information may be collected through the use of “cookies” (definition provided below in the On-Line section).

As part of our business operations, we hold and use certain personal information pertaining to you in order to process your requests, provide you with searches or Services, and to understand your needs so that we can serve you better. We routinely share information with the Government of Alberta, under various civil acts and regulations, for provision of service to you


3. How long do we hold your Information

We hold onto your information as per regulations (governing us) specifying the length of time data should be held for. We destroy all personal data in a safe and secure facility when it is not needed. All personal information are kept in a safe, secured, locked area and accessible to authorized individuals only.


4. Accessing personal information.

You are entitled to access the personal information held by us concerning them. In recognition of the importance we attach to each customer’s information, you can only access personal information we hold about you, but not personal information about your spouse or others. To access your information you must present your personal identity and specify things we ask you about to establish your identity.

(A) Collection:


We may collect personal information on-line when you visit our website as described in this section. In addition, we may collect cookie and web beacon information when you browse the website. We share personal information collected on-line as described in this section. In addition, we may provide Service Providers e.g.. Government of Alberta, our technical Service Providers and credit card companies with certain information that is necessary to fulfill an order you have placed with us. We are not responsible for any additional information you provide directly to these parties.


(D) Protection:


Personal information we collect on our website is stored electronically, and may be combined with other off-line information. Personal information entered on our website is encrypted using a security protocol called SSL (Secure Sockets Layer). SSL encrypts information entered on our site before it is sent over the Internet. SSL also allows you to view securely your on-line account and registration information. Account information is accessible on-line only through the use of a password. To protect the confidentiality of personal information you must keep your password confidential and not disclose it to any other person. You are responsible for all uses
of our website by any person using your password.
